Daniel Stamboulian, on Pfizer vaccines: “I was ready to buy in July”

As he revealed, they were shocked by the fact that vaccines could only be bought by the state. And he recalled: “They told us about three months ago, before the problem that arose, that the government did not know what problem it had and that it was not able to complete the purchase of Pfizer vaccines. We were going to receive it because they told us that in July they were going to sell it, outside of government, entities like ours. The truth that I was really sorry because we were excited ”.

Stamboulian also mentioned the vaccine that is produced in Cuba and he pointed out that “they have a good laboratory and apparently they make a platform which can be very interesting”, although he clarified that “they are in the first moments”. He also pointed out that “there is still a long way to go” because it has to be in phase 3. And he estimated: “I think it will really take them over a year to say that they have the vaccine”.

In addition, the expert highlighted the work of Moderna’s vaccine and said that they were trying to present it to Anmat for approval in Argentina. “It is a very attractive vaccine and it could be very useful to bring it,” he added.

Finally, he praised the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which he defined as “a very good vaccine” and predicted. “I think it will soon be incorporated in large quantities for our country. We are very close to being able to do so ”.
