A motorist hit a group of protesters despite the curfew in San Pedro de la Paz, southern Chile. As a result of the incident, a man and a four-year-old boy were killed and 10 people were injured.

The vehicle crossed a cacerolazo at kilometer 14 of Highway 160. A group of neighbors expressed their discomfort with the serious economic situation that triggered a wave of protests and repression in the trans-Andean country.

A video shows the moment when the driver crosses the picket line and takes the demonstrators who walked quietly in the streets. You can see that the vehicle is traveling at high speed and throwing several people in the air.
