A fake black widow appeared in a supermarket and generated panic: what was the explanation of the specialists

It is normal to find different videos on the networks animals and insects. However, the clip, which has gone viral in recent hours, has caused panic among Internet users.

And is that as was revealed in a recording, a poisonous spider known as “the black widow” fell from the roof of a supermarket in the UK and shocked the customers who were buying. The arachnid would have entered through a vent in the roof of the premises.

One of the witnesses who saw the spider, who preferred not to give his name, does not want to return to the store because he is very afraid. The man, who saw the exact moment the animal appeared, assured: “As I was going through the boxes, it literally appeared in front of my face.”

Despite the fear it created among customers, a spokesperson for a supermarket clarified that this is a fake black widow and that it is not dangerous. “It is usually found in homes across the UK,” he warned.

An investigation into the National University of Ireland expressed that their bites are benign: they can hurt and cause swelling, but few cases have resulted in hospitalization.

The pest control expert Jonathan ratcliffe from Pest.co.uk explained: “The fake widow can look very scary, but usually is not aggressive and is generally not a problem”. Further, he added, “If you get bitten, it’s like a wasp sting. September and October are when they come for heat ”. As for how to dispose of it, he revealed that you can use a vacuum cleaner and then leave it outside.
