A FARC guerrilla fighter escaped from prison and was taken back

One of the leaders of the FARC dissolved guerrillas, Jesus Santrich, who demanded the extradition of the United States for drug trafficking, was taken over by Colombian agents this Friday when he tried to escape from prison.

Santrich, protected by a court of law order, left La Picota prison in southern Bogota, but the prosecution they boarded as soon as he was taken away in a wheelchair, journalists from AFP. While in police custody, he was taken into a police helicopter and it is not known where he was taken.

In a statement, the prosecution pointed out that "made effective" the warrant for arrest as part of the drug trafficking investigation in the United States. Washington, through its embbady in Bogotá, opposed the release of Santrich and asked for "the urgent call" of the decision that left him free.
