A handkerchief is made across the country to demand the effective enforcement of the IVE law

In the Global day of action for a legal and safe abortion in Latin America and the Caribbean, the National Campaign convened for the afternoon of this Tuesday a handkerchief in different parts of the country.

The main objective is to claim “the effective implementation of the IVE law“, which was approved on December 30, 2020 and entered into force on January 14 of this year. Also the legalization of the voluntary termination of pregnancy in all the countries of the region, under the motto “The handkerchiefs are not down.” The call in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires is from 4 p.m. at the corner of Callao and Rivadavia, before Congress.

“We unite in a worldwide cry denouncing the state violence who deny access to safe abortions, allow physical and emotional torture, denial of adequate services. The preponderance of conscientious objection as an obstacle to rights is transformed into a regional model and has in common a discriminatory behavior based on gender, stereotypes and prejudices of ethnicity, class and territory ”, assert they from the National Campaign.

In addition, they ensure: “The fight for the decriminalization and legalization of abortion cements and ensures emancipation, allows the inescapable recognition of each of the people with the capacity to procreate to decide on their destiny, motherhood and future projects, pleasure and its future”.
