A helicopter rescue that ends almost in a tragedy …

A 74-year-old woman decided to take a trip to a mountain in Piestewa Park, outside of Phoenix, Arizona. There, she had a small accident for which she had to be transferred by helicopter. The journey through the air has become an experience that the woman will not forget.

It all started when the tourist hit her face when she fell. Because of her injury, they decided to take her to a medical center. Then a helicopter was called. The ship did not land, but dropped a stretcher with the help of a pulley system. The woman was lying there. The helicopter took off and, it was presumed, the stretcher would rise quickly to the ship. But the stretcher started to turn faster and faster in the air.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the patient was treated for vertigo and nausea, but did not experience any major complications. The Phoenix police chief explained that when he got up, the stretcher had begun to interact with the turbulence caused by the propellers. As the hook is designed to turn, the stretcher started to turn.

The stretcher had an extra rope to prevent what was happening, which failed due to strong winds and broke. The landing took place one kilometer from the rescue site, where more than 200 relief operations have been conducted since 2013. This was not the first incident with the same characteristics, but the first to be viralized by a video.
