In the United States, Glbaddoor, one of the world's largest recruitment and job search sites, arrives in the country
At the time when many companies are tightening their belts and firing employees, the US site of Glbaddoor, one of the world's largest recruitment and job search sites, is coming into the country.
Initially, 6,621 people are searched only in Buenos Aires, at the click of a mouse.
Glbaddoor was launched in 2008 and has 900 employees in nine offices. Earlier this year, it expanded to Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand and opened offices in Paris (France) and Hamburg (Germany).
He has now expanded to the region with the acquisition of Love Mondays, a career portal created by Brazil's Luciana Caletti, currently Vice President of Latin America.
The platform offers several sections, presents a profile of recognized companies, anonymous ratings of current and former employees, another column informs about the salaries of different positions and offers benefits and benefits to workers.
When accessing the site, the user must incorporate information about a company in which he or she worked. It can be about salaries, interviews or benefits.
Being a collaborative platform, to get information, they ask everyone to make their contribution.
"We have information from 32,000 Argentine companies that only require 6,221 positions in Buenos Aires, where there are 93 active searches, 767 for the badyst position, 244 for administrative employees and 149 for sales" Caletti said.
Glbaddoor does not prohibit badual abuse or harbadment and has a right of reply. Staff searches are carried out in several provinces. For example, Córdoba is expected to hold 1,076 positions, including 134 badysts and 33 sales.
Those interested can download their resume, but only Glbaddoor sees it to better target the search, but not for the companies they are looking for. "This is a meeting place for companies and to see how the experience of this work is going, it's not a network of users like Linkedin," said the vice president of the region.
Regarding the context in which they landed, he stressed that "despite the country's difficult economic situation, there are pockets of demand for technology, oil and gas companies and skilled talent are being sought". The good news is that US law does not allow for setting an age limit for recruitments.
For businesses, it's a showcase and also a risk to see the opinions of their employees. "All comments are moderated by the community manager, companies have the right to respond and can comment on the ratings, we can not talk about any special person, with the exception of the CEOs," explained Caletti.
