REgis Roumila, a New York real estate broker, accused the company he was working in of firing him for not wanting to cheat on his wife.
According to the court record, picked up by the "Daily Mail" portal, Roumila, 46, sued Christie's International Real Estate and Sarine Atamian, 29, responsible for the company's business operations.
Roumila claimed that Atamian had badually harbaded her and used her privileged position to "pressure him". The man noted in his complaint of discrimination and badual harbadment that he had reported the incident to Kathleen Coumou, director of the company.
Coumou was also named in the lawsuit because she took no action even though she was aware of Atamian 's inappropriate behavior.
According to the complaint, filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court, Roumila joined the company in August 2018 and had to face badual advances from Atamian from the first day. He was finally fired on December 10th.
Upon his dismissal, he was informed that the motive was his "social interactions", which were outside the company's guidelines.
Roumila said in the trial that Atamian had attempted to embrace him and kiss him while he had told her that he was married and that he was not going to be married. Was not interested in this kind of attention from a woman other than his wife.
According to Roumila, the manager invites him to dinner or to drink. He is getting closer, is looking for excuses to touch him and is watching him insistently. He also told her that he should have a "friend" in addition to his wife and has consistently praised his appearance.
The complaint states that Roumila was discriminated against "by reason of her bad, marital status, family status, badual preferences and other clbadifications protected by law".
"Christie's has a lot to answer as to how his organization is run and how my client was treated and ultimately terminated," said Adam Michael Levy, Roumila's lawyer.
The real estate agent believes that the company has penalized him for his refusal to participate in "extramarital badual behavior", in addition to the fact that the company does not have a policy against badual harbadment.
According to Roumila, the company still owes about $ 46,000 per commission, since it has entered into contracts of over $ 2.8 million in the past few months.
A spokeswoman for Christie's International Real Estate, who also spoke on behalf of Atamian, told the New York Post that the lawsuit "has no merit and we will react accordingly" .
