A man is thrown on Niagara Falls and survived the fall

Canadian police were waiting for the worst. The rangers of Niagara Falls alerted them this Tuesday morning that a man "in crisis" had been launched by the biggest jump, known as Horseshoe Falls, after climbing the retaining wall surrounding the danger zone. Even though the police officers considered him dead, a few hours later they found it alive.

As a reconstructed local media, the young man had been dragged by a huge waterfall over 60 meters high. However, when the agents visited the lower part of the river, they were surprised: He was sitting on one of the rocks, slightly hurt.

Immediately, the man – who did not reveal his identity – was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. Authorities refused to give more information about him. They just confirmed that he was out of danger.

"It's a very lucky guy. Few people do it and survive ", commented Andy Essor, resident of Ontario, on the site Buffalo News. "He definitely has God in his pocket"added.

The cataract team noted that these types of incidents usually have a tragic end. The percentages of people who survived Niagara Falls are very low, either accidentally or intentionally: it is estimated that 25 people commit suicide each year in these jumps.

Following this case, Mayor Jim Diodati explained that the man could have been saved thanks to the high levels of water in the river. "I know first-hand that they are among the highest of all time." When Lake Eric is higher and throws more heavily into Lake Ontario, there is a better chance to get lost in the huge rocks under the cataracts, "he said.

In this sense, the local manager explained that this was the only way for a person to survive a fall of this type. "I hope this person will see a blessing," he said.
