A man killed five people on Friday when he entered the shootout of a slot machine in the municipality of Puente Alto, a suburb of Santiago, Chile.

"There was a kind of altercation outside the premises and some people then fled and shooting took place inside the premises", indicated Hector Barros, prosecutor in charge of the case.

Witnesses said two men had started an argument at the gate. At that time, one of them escaped when the other took out a firearm and pursued it inside, shooting without distinction.

After the shooting, at least 70 rounds of bullets were found on the premises and abroad, said the sous-préfet Carlos bathrobe, the homicide brigade of the investigative police (IDP).

"We proceed to the fixing of ballistic evidence, mainly corks.A large amount is appreciated, at least 70%, both inside the premises, on the periphery of the premises and in the immediate vicinity", He precised.

He added that, according to the indications, the author was carrying a weapon adapted to the shooting in burst, equipped with a magazine which can contain a large number of projectiles. "One of the badumptions we have so far is that this is a single shooter, with a suitable firearm," He stressed.
