A A 40-year-old man pushed his mother and son to tracks just when a high-speed train arrived, the site said Hessenschau. The perpetrator was arrested by the public, who held him at bay until the police arrived to arrest him.
The researchers determined that the man, who lives in Switzerland since 2006, has no connection with mother and child, who come from the district of Hochtaunus. A third person was attacked but managed to avoid falling on the tracks.
The episode occurred around 10 am on Monday, when the woman and her son were on platform 7 of the Frankfurt train station. A man dressed in black approached the victims and he pushed them on the rails in front of the train.
The woman managed to roll and stay between the train and the wharf but the boy died instantly of the impact.
