Cali News
A stressful procedure was experienced this weekend in an operating room of a Cali clinic.
A security protocol was activated by the doctors at the Valle del Lili clinic with the arrival of an Indian who had an artifact in his head.
The man, about 35 years old, said he was manipulating certain elements, one of which was embedded in his forehead.
Immediately, the native was transferred from northern Cauca to the badistance center south of Cali.
However, health professionals have sought help from the anti-explosive group of the police.
After a medical meeting with the police, in the early hours of Saturday, they decided to intervene.
Procedure
According to sources consulted by TuBarco, one of the special rooms of the clinic was allowed to perform the operation.
This is to avoid any damage to the rest of the staff, in case of failure.
The neurosurgeon was dressed in the anti-explosive suit to perform the extraction.
After five minutes, the item was removed from the villager's head.
Subsequently, the patient was operated for two hours.
However, the police said that it was not an explosive in the head, but a kind of pellet gauze.
The patient remains in the intensive care unit of the clinic.
