The 36-year-old is a photographic model and animal rights activist. She had the worst day of her life during a production of images at an animal shelter in Germany called Senior residence for show animals.

According to local media, the attack was caused by one of two leopards who live in the refuge called Troy. In an oversight, the animal threw himself on the model and caused serious head injuries with numerous bites and claws, for which he had to be transferred to a helicopter.

After being transferred to the hospital, Jessica leidolph she was operated successfully. After stabilizing herself, the woman recounted the nightmare she was experiencing with the leopard who kept biting one of her ears, cheek and head. Additionally, he reported that he passed out due to the pain and shock. Leidolph only remembers hearing the arrival of the helicopter that took her to the hospital.

It should be noted that the animal shelter where the attack took place is located in the village of Nebra in the town of Sajonia-Anhalt West of Germany. The enclosure houses both Troy, 16 years old, as Paris, another 18 year old feline. Both are in the custody of their owner Birgit Stache.

In this sense, the German police have launched an investigation to determine the responsibility for the sudden attack of the feline, focusing on Birgit stache, the owner of the animals. In turn, the woman worked for 20 years as a circus trainer, and for two years she became the owner of the felines. Initial reports indicate that she would be charged with “suspicion of negligent bodily harm”, according to information released by the DPA Agency.

Likewise, the investigation would be extended to personnel who were in the compound during the attack during the photo shoot for not having taken the necessary security measures.
