A new virus has started to infect WhatsApp users in Latin America

Once again, WhatsApp is the platform chosen by the the hackers try to steal information. Now it is a viral link that, when clicked, allows hackers to access information of the user.

According to the Chilean portal Now news, this scam had already attacked Europe, in countries like Spain and Holland, but now he has arrived in Uruguay, Brazil and continues to develop.

How does the scam happen? The victim receives a message in which a contact asks him to call another number or to send him a bank transfer via a link to a page. When you click on it, the virus that infects the device is activated and allows access to personal information: e-mail addresses, pbadwords and even bank details.

Worse, the virus is also replicating: by infecting the phone, it also transmits the message hackers to the victim's contacts, to continue to increase the number of scams.

The virus does not affect WhatsApp but rather the phones, so if our cell phone was infected you have to go through an antivirus or look for an unknown program on the device.
