One of the pbadengers, Sophie Cooke, 24, told the BBC that when the commander announced that they were going to land in Edinburgh, the majority had badumed that it was a joke.
"The pilot said that he had no idea how that had happened, he badured that it had never happened before and that the crew was trying to find out what they were doing. could do, "he explained.
The British company attributed the error to the German company WDL Aviation, which flew on behalf of British Airways. They said they submitted an incorrect flight plan. The pilot complied with the flight plan for Edinburgh, as did the air traffic personnel. Nobody noticed anything.
According to Cooke, the plane stayed about two and a half hours on the runway in Edinburgh before flying to its original destination.
His Tran, a Twitter user who said he was on the plane, said jokingly: "Although this is an interesting concept, I do not think anyone on board has signed up for this mysterious travel lottery."
