A Porsche 911 to fall in love: they restored a copy made in 1990 and this looks like a work of art

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, one of the most important metal events in the world, there was a clbadic that distinguished itself from both super modern sport and luxury: a Porsche 911 of the 964 generation, manufactured in 1990.

This is not a 911 more, but a masterpiece of the preparator Singer Vehicle Design, specializing in restoration units of this mythical model of the German brand.

As if that were not enough, Singer had a luxury ally to carry out this project: Williams. The customer division of the famous Formula 1 team took care of the engine: a 1945 liter boxer sucked naphtero with cylinder head with titanium valves, optimized lubrication system, injectors similar to those used in F1 and internal components made of magnesium.

The result: a machine capable of delivering 500 horsepower at 9000 rpm . That figure equates, at least in power, with one of the most rabid sports that Porsche sells today: the 911 GT3, although in the case of the 964, the engine is cooled down to the next. ;air.

Another modification was made to the location of the block, which was slightly advanced for in order to improve the distribution of weights (it weighs only 989 kg ). The power is transmitted to the rear axle by a six-speed Hewland manual gearbox, made of magnesium.

At the same time, Singer installed a stability control of the firm Bosch, Brembo carbocerámicos brakes, tires BBS forged 18 inches Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 nemáticos and seats, dashboard and button carbon fiber shift lever.

The idea of ​​the project was born in November of last year, when the vehicle owner, a Porsche fan named Scott Blattner, asked the trainer to improve his 911 964 in terms performance. Stinger took it to heart and made this beauty that takes all the flashes to the Goodwood party.
