A powerful earthquake was felt this afternoon Sunday at 6:03.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN), the earthquake was of a magnitude of 3.8, of which the epicenter was in the municipality of Santiago Texacuangos, to San Salvador.

Final and confirmed data from the MARN revealed that the quake had a magnitude of 6.6. Its epicenter was located 2 kilometers south of San Salvador and had a depth of 6 kilometers.

The map of instruments revealed that the area that perceived it with more power was the central area of ​​San Salvador, while the environment perceived it in a weak and offbeat way.
