A shooting in Cancun left at least five dead

Five people died and two were wounded after a shooting in Cancun. Early versions emphasize that it is a confrontation between police and badbadins occurred at 20:44 (local time). At least one ministerial officer died and another is injured, according to the state government in a statement.

The event was held in Puerto Juarez, about 15 kilometers from the hotel zone of this well-known Mexican city, in the locality of Mar Azul, a center rented for meetings and parties and not in a restaurant as indicated in the first versions

Military sources said that there were at least seven members of the ministerial police at a party there when a group of 20 relatives arrived and began shooting at the agents.
