A tiktoker committed suicide while filming a video

Kubra Dogan, 23, was visiting her cousin Helen, 16, in her apartment on Friday. family in Istanbul (Turkey), when the two decided to record content for TikTok in the the ceiling.

The sun was setting over the city and the duo climbed to the rooftop to film the sunset and take selfies.

Dogan descended from the ceiling onto what appears to be gray tin, which immediately gave way and caused the death of the TikToker free fall.

Apparently the cousins ​​spent several minutes recording and taking photos on the rooftop of the family apartment around 7:30 p.m. local time before Kubra’s fatal fall.

Footage of the tragic incident, filmed by Helen, shows Kubra posing for the camera before sitting on the edge of the roof.

Kubra descends to a lower part of the building as Helen turns the camera to a face that displays a worried gaze.

The camera swings towards Kubra, capturing the moment he steps on what appears to be gray sheet metal that immediately shatters. A loud sound is heard as the Tiktoker disappears through the structure, before falling nine floors, or about 50 meters, into the street.

Her terrified cousin returned to the apartment to inform her family of the incident, who then called emergency services.

Paramedics appeared at the scene a few minutes later, but confirmed that Kubra had died before anything could be done.

Kubra’s uncle, Nebi Dogan, said the family intended to sue the contractor responsible for installing the fragile panels and insisted he “won’t give up” until the entrepreneur is brought to justice.

Nebi also said family members previously advised the girls not to make videos that are dangerous for TikTok.

“We warned them, but they did not obey,” he said.

Kubra’s body will be transferred to his hometown, Midyat, in the Turkish province of Mardin, and will be buried after the execution of post-mortem procedures.
