The driver of a truck disappeared Monday in Aubervilliers, in the northern suburbs of Paris, although the vehicle was found a bit later without its estimated charge of around a million euros, police sources told the press.
According to this source, the driver of 28 years old parked his Loomis truck and allowed the departure of his two colleagues before a Western Union office in Aubervilliers, the newspaper reports Monday The Parisian.
When the two Loomis employees left the agency, the truck and his colleague disappeared.said the authorities.
The truck was found shortly after in a nearby street. According to the police, the car "was found with the doors open" and without "the bags of money that it contained". There was no trace of the driver either.
The first investigations, police said, indicate that there were about a million euros of bags in the truck (near 1.1 million USD), but the company Loomis, contacted by the AFP, did not offer any details.
In November 2009, in an episode identical to Lyon (east), a driver disappeared with the truck and about 11.5 million euros. He was captured and has already served his prison sentence.
