the wars between neighbors can end in surprises, for better or for worse, as happened in a neighborhood in Washtenaw, Michigan, USA, where the conflict between two families had a unexpected end: a wall of manure of 77 meters which affects the whole community.
Wayne Lambarth, a resident of that county, reported that his neighbor farmer built the fence after a fight that they kept. And as a result, the cattle breeder decided to “take revenge” with a wall of cow dung that gives off a foul odor on hot days.
As Lambarth revealed, normally the neighbor spreads the excrement on the spot, but this time he decided to make “a fence” to divide the properties in a strange way. As can be seen in the pictures, the farmer made a square with the droppings in the middle of the field where he has the animals.
The grandfather of Lambarth started the farm 100 years ago, but the field eventually split and last year there was a dispute over the boundaries of the two properties. This would have been the trigger for the war between the parties, that today they are faced with a conflict that affects all neighbors.
A few months ago, his neighbor came to concentrate the manure near Lambarth’s house. According to an interview he gave to the channel FOX2, the man argued that he had tenants living in the house who are forced to deal with odors from the wall of excrement. “You can’t leave the window open because the whole floor upstairs will smell that, ” Coyne Gatto who lives in the house with his partner Jaidyn Schwarzel.
Asked about his decision to carry out the construction, the farmer assured that “It’s not a wall of shit. It’s a compost fence“. Lambart also approached the police to file a complaint, but the police told him that “They can’t do anything because the construction is on the neighbour’s property“.
