A woman involuntarily transmitted her sexual assault on a dance floor

Jasmine Eiland, 30, sued Opera Atlanta in court on Monday, along with its unidentified owners, security companies and staff. The lawsuit in Fulton County Court says the club did not put enough security in place last month, while Eiland said badually badaulted on the dance floor and again in an isolated area, forbidden to the public.

"Something like that should not happen in a nightclub," said Eiland's attorney, L. Chris Stewart, adding that interviews with former employees and those present were proof that the club's safety was inadequate.

"It's really a situation in which they prefer income protection," Stewart said.

Eiland was on 19 January at Opera for a concert by hip-hop singer August Alsina. Broadcast live on Facebook the recital while she was dancing and singing.
