In the United States, Jasmine Eiland, 30, sued Monday at the Atlanta Opera and its owners, security companies and unidentified security personnel.
The lawsuit filed in Fulton County Court says the club did not put enough security in place last month. Eiland claimed to have been badually badaulted on the dance floor and again banned from the public in an isolated area.
"Something like that should not happen in a nightclub"says the lawyer from Eiland, L. Chris Stewart, adding that interviews with former employees and attendees were proof that the club was not secure enough.
"It's really a situation where they prefer profits to protection"said Stewart.
Jasmine wanted to make her identity known to encourage other women to talk.
Eiland was 19 January at Opera for a hip-hop singer concert August Alsina. She broadcast the recital live on Facebook while she was dancing and singing. Step by step we see her lose control of herself. Finally, she looks half-silent, asking for help to drag the words, screaming "that someone help me" and "stop" with the tears flowing over his face while continuing to record and publish the video in real time. During the transmission, we see a man above.
In other videos provided by other people who were in the bowling alley, one sees more clearly what the aggression would be on the track and how the same man dragged her into a isolated place.
After the publication of the images, Eiland wanted to make himself known, fight against the intense criticisms and rumors he faced in the networks, and give strength to other victims to speak. Many have doubted their denunciation and others have removed elements of their private life to suspect the truth.
Dominique Williams was arrested, charged with aggravated sodomy in the alleged attack.
