A work of art in the heart of Paris caught the attention of Lionel Messi

And while he was walking around the city, a peculiar piece of art in the middle of a public road caught his attention and the footballer from Rosario decided to post it on his Instagram account.

The photo he shared in the story of his Instagram account shows him located on the avenue des Champs Elysées, one of the most emblematic and most frequented points in Paris.

The image shows the Arc de Triomphe, the iconic and world-famous monument in honor of those who perished in the Napoleonic Wars and the French Revolution. The funny thing about the picture is you can see the building is covered.

The curious aspect is due to the fact that the monument intervened temporarily as part of a work of art. The work “The Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped”, by artists Christo and Jean-Claude, began on September 18 and will run until October 3.

The monument is covered with 25,000 square meters of recyclable silver-blue fabric, supported by 3,000 meters of red rope. This detail probably caught the attention of Lionel Messi and made him capture the image.
