One person was injured Tuesday in Minneapolis after gunfire at the scene of the death of African American George Floyd., in an episode recorded by television cameras.

Floyd’s death rocked America and plunged him into protests against racism and police brutality. At the end of the first year, various commemorations and a visit by the Floyd family to the White House.

According to the videos of the moment, several dozen people were in the square to offer their respects and pray for Floyd on the anniversary of his death on May 25, 2020.

In Minneapolis, the atmosphere is tension, especially in the corner that was the scene of Floyd’s death and agony, whose images have traveled the world.

To help the rebirth of this neighborhood, the family Floyd has pledged to contribute half a million dollars to local economic or social actors. This donation will come from the compensation of 27 million dollars that the municipality has promised to pay to the family.
