After the sailor's death, #MeToo activists vandalized a statue of the iconic kiss of the Second World War

The event was produced in Sarasota, Florida, where the ankle of the woman's sculpture awakened with a graffiti of the feminist movement denouncing badual harbadment.

As Alfred Eisenstaedt recalled, who captured the image for the magazine Life reactions to Manhattan for the announcement of the end of the Second World War, the sailor George Mendonsa was running down the street and taking in any girl who came across him.

Mendonsa, deployed in the Pacific during World War II, was on vacation when the photo was taken.

Greta Zimmer Friedman, the dental badistant represented in the picture, died in 2016 at the age of 92. "The guy came and m caught me! He was very strong. I did not kiss him, he kissed me", he said in a 2005 interview.

"I did not see him coming until I knew that I was detained", detailed in 2012 on the CBS network.

The # MeToo movement has emerged in recent years to defend victims of badual abuse and harbadment.
