Ramiro Francisco Onorato, 27 years old and from Mar del Plata, died while he was hit by a truck after a fight started between two groups of workers in a city in the United States.
The incident occurred Saturday night at a hotel car park in the city of Manchester, Hartford County, Connecticut.
According to the local newspaper Hartford Current, the police arrested the driver of the vehicle, identified as Octavio Barron, 30 years old. The man was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle, reckless second-degree driving and breach of the peace.
In his testimony, Barron stated that he was working for an electrical contractor and that, along with several colleagues, he had traveled to Manchester North Carolina to meet with members of another team of employees staying at the hotel.
He said, the Manchester workers they were drunkand a fight started between the two groups. Barron and his companions got into his van to escape and, according to witnesses, Onorato he began to hit the windows of the road. It was at that point that he fell and the truck pbaded him.
When the police arrived at the car park around 11:15 pm, she found Onorato on the floor, with a serious head injury. He was transferred to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Barron was later arrested at a gas station and stated that he had not realized that he had crushed someone . Officers found blood and hair on the vehicle's tires. He was subjected to an alcohol test and the result was negative.
