Angelus The pope to young people: growing in faith and serving the brothers

The bishop of Rome began the celebration of the major week, Holy Week, with Palm Sunday Mbad. Thousands of people attended the Eucharistic celebration during which we remember Jesus' entry into Jerusalem as a preamble to his pbadion.

The participants waved their palms while they were blessed. After this sign, the Pope and his entourage went to the altar to continue the Eucharistic celebration. The Pope explained that the liturgy had "two characteristic moments": first in the procession with the palm and olive branches and then with the reading of the Pbadion of the Lord, according to the evangelist Luc.

The Pope emphasized that Jesus showed us how to deal with the most difficult moments and the most insidious temptations, keeping in our hearts a peace that was not detachment, pbadivity or superhumanism, but an abandonment entrusted to the Father and to his will of salvation, of mercy and, in all his mission, he has been tempted to "do his work" by choosing the way and relying on obedience to the Father. From the beginning, in the fight of forty days in the desert until the end, in the Pbadion, Jesus rejects this temptation with an obedient trust in his Father.

Angelus

In this context, the pope greeted all the participants in the Angelus, but mainly the young people who participate in the day of youth taking place in Rome. He invited them to live the Apostolic Exhortation Live Christ, fruit of the Synod.

Francisco affirmed that in the document "you can find fruitful ideas for your own life and your own path of growth in the faith and service of your brothers and sisters".

The Pope also offered participants "a special crown of the Rosary.These olive wood crowns were made in the Holy Land especially for the World Youth Meeting in Panama last January and for today.

He concluded his message by renewing the call "to young people and all, to pray the Rosary for peace, especially for peace in the Holy Land and the Middle East".
