Angry 200-strong mob burned alive man accused of stealing car | the Chronicle

Nail an angry crowd murdered a man accused of stealing a car. Among more than 200 people, they set fire to the subject in Potosí, Bolivia, while an accomplice in the lynching was injured.

“We must investigate, the perpetrators must be found. There are institutions that must make justice prevail“, says the new governor of Potosí, Johnny mamani, in dialogue with the press.

The terrible episode happened on Tuesday in Pocoata, a municipality north of Potosí.

Local media detailed that the alleged assailant, 27, and the woman, 24, were detained by more than two hundred people, who denounced them for the disappearance of the shooting. They were taken to court, beat them, threw gasoline on the man and set him on fire.

During this time, the young woman was injured and with some burns. The police were able to rescue her thanks to the mediation of the regional coordination of the office of the mediator of the city of Llallagua.
