April 19, 1987 The simpsons first appeared on television, for 34 years Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie have lived many crazy adventures both in their hometown of Springfield and abroad in countries like Brazil, Japan , England or Australia.

However, one of the facets that caught the interest of his fans the most was the famous “predictions”, as real life events have already been seen in a certain chapter of the series. This time it happened with a house in the Mexican state of Puebla which is in danger of extinction due to a gigantic hole.

Since last weekend that the “chasm” grew tens of meters daily in the place and worried the inhabitants. At Santa Maria Zacatepec, some 119 kilometers from Mexico City, the Sánchez family was surprised last Saturday afternoon by a violent accident, which they initially thought was love at first sight. However, soon after, they discovered that a few yards from their house, in the middle of the field, the earth had subsided.

The chasm is filled with water, surrounded by green fields and cordoned off by the authorities. On Sunday, the hole was about 30 meters in diameter and on Tuesday authorities calculated that it had reached 80. The collapse is about to reach the home of the Sánchez family, who have lived in the area since 2014 .

“We got that, we stayed in the street. We have nothing. We are not from here, we have no parents, we are alone “, he told the Mexican press Heriberto Sánchez. Scientists and authorities are trying to determine the origin of the gigantic hole, which could be mainly due to a geological fault or to water variations in the soil.

“We have seen landslides through drone overflights, it is a phenomenon of nature, landslides will surely continue to occur”, the secretary of Government of Puebla, Ana Lucia Gil.

As the chasm grows, large chunks of dirt from the edge continually break loose, pushing back any onlookers approaching the security cordon. In a video posted to social media, two men walked over to observe the hole shortly before it grew larger, forcing them to safety.

Scientists and authorities are trying to determine the origin of the gigantic hole.

“It will grow until nature defines it, when the water stops exerting pressure”, said the governor of Puebla, Miguel Barbosa. “The important thing now is the safety of people”, the official added, indicating that the authorities will compensate those affected.

On Twitter, several Internet users were perplexed by the event. Some put a little humor and comment “It grows up in Mexico knowing it’s dangerous and finding the fun side in trying to survive” or “You better not put an airport there” while others expressed only fear: “A great earthquake is coming, be ready, God bless you”.
