Another blow to the jack headphones, again by Apple: According to a report from Mac Otakara the company plans to remove it from the next iPad Pro which will probably be released in September with new iPhones

Mac Otakara quotes direct sources from the Asian production chain. The publication has a steady reputation for future products, sometimes just, but sometimes not.

Other brands in the consumer technology industry have launched new models of appliances without taking into account headphones jack the last to do so was Xiaomi his new smartphone, My A2, deleted it. In the end, Apple was right.

They also give the size of the next models of Apple tablets:

  • iPad Pro 10.5 ": 247.5 millimeters high x 178.7mm wide x 6 millimeters thick, a reduction by compared to the current model's 250.6mm x 174.1mm x 6.1mm
  • iPad Pro 12.9 ": 280 mm high x 215 mm wide x 6.4 mm thick, which is also a reduction of Comparison with the 305.7 mm x 220.6 mm x 6.9 mm of the current model

The numbers are in line with previous reports that the new models will have a borderless design, similar to the path taken with the iPhone X released last year and thus offers larger screens in smaller total sizes.

The report also talks about the repositioning of the Smart Connector, currently on the device side below, on the Lightning Port side, although that does not make much sense, given that you use to, especially, for the Smart Keyboard. The problem of the iPad in landscape mode is that with the current generation of Face ID, this would not be unlocked, but there are indications of improvements in this regard in the bêtas of iOS 12 .
