Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie and his Uruguayan counterpart Rodolfo Nin Novoa signed a framework agreement in Montevideo on the "disposal of confiscated badets", a step forward in international legal cooperation.

This is the first bilateral agreement signed by Argentina to establish mechanisms for cooperation and negotiation allowing "the recovery of badets located in the territory of a country and obtained through the use of bribery, narcotics and transnational organized crime committed in the other country, "said the statement issued today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"This agreement is part of a central objective of the Argentine government, such as the fight against corruption, money laundering and transnational organized crime," sources told Argentina's Foreign Ministry.
