Argentina and YPF waiting for the first hearing of the case Petersen – Telam this Thursday

The Argentine Republic and the YPF company will hold their first hearing in New York on Thursday to face the one million dollar lawsuit filed by the Petersen and Eaton Park companies, after allegedly being aggrieved by the nationalization of the oil company in 2012.

The first bet will take place at 11 am in front of the second circuit judge's court, Loretta Preska, in the building of 500 Pearl Street, the seat of the courts in the Southern District of New York, where the parties arrive. with the previous presentation of the corresponding writings in which they anticipated the axes of their arguments.

The hearing is considered essential because, although it is the first meeting, it will be able to determine the end of the process, with the resulting damage to Argentina, or to Contribution stage in legal resources, documents and testimonies that can prolong the trial.

The Argentinian representation will be headed by the Treasury's lawyer, Bernardo Saravia Frias, and one of the directors of the YPF, the lawyer Fabián "Pepín" Rodríguez Simón, who will join the firm of D & I. New York lawyers Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
