The modern and original stand with which Argentina was presented at the The FITUR 2021 fair received the awards for Mejor stand in the category “Countries and regions ”and also at the most sustainable stand. The foundation of the prize, announced by the organizers of the most important tourist fair in Spain and one of the most important in Europe, is based above all on three main reasons: the original and innovative design of the stand – thought out with a sustainable logic and a maximum reduction of waste -, its professionalism, and its communication and promotion attributes, it is the stand’s identification with the image and the Argentinian product.

We want Argentina to continue to play the leading role in this future of tourism reactivation. And do it in an innovative way. Our stand is inspired by Formula 1 and Moto GP paddocks, under the slogan that it is durable, economical and quick to assemble and disassemble. It was a very deep job, with long days of discussions with the manufacturers. Until the last minute before the inauguration, we worked on every detail. In this first face-to-face tourism fair, we look to the post-pandemic future, it is our commitment and our responsibility not to give up even a square meter of the presence of the Argentina in the world», Assured the executive secretary of INPROTUR, Ricardo Sosa, who received the FITUR Prize Tribune Jorge Vila Fradera from the hands of Maria valcarce, Secretary of the Jury and Director of FITUR, and David Solar, Secretary of the Jury.

“Argentina made a very impressive effort and brought in a modern style. The stand is beautiful, functional and particularly durable for which it clearly deserves both awards. The project is perfect in terms of sustainability because it reduces 98% of waste ”, assured Valcarce, during the delivery And added, in a more informal tone:“ All Spaniards are crazy to go to Argentina ”.

In tune with the new global context, Argentina returned to face-to-face fairs with a stand style that caught the attention of professionals and other participants of FITUR 2021, the fair taking place on the IFEMA site in Madrid until May 23 and which this weekend it will be open to the public. The concept was borrowed from major international motorsport and motorcycling competitions in which hospitality trucks – commonly referred to as transformer trucks – are used for the paddocks.

The stand was built only on 17% of the stand, which means an 83% reduction in CO2 emissions and a 70% reduction assembly time. It does not use wood, paper or printed material, with a favorable ecological impact and generation of less than a kilo of waste in the material. It has LED screens, which minimizes the consumption of halogen. The peripheral screen of the stand stands out from the rest and facilitates the communication of Visit Argentina’s new identity. Unlike in previous years, where closed places for meetings, conferences and tastings predominated, 80% of the stand area is open.

Argentina broken with a paradigm of stands in fairs, betting on a modern and sustainable way, and has been recognized for it. One more proof of the total commitment to revive post-pandemic tourism.
