An Argentine woman was attacked by her two dogs in the United States while she was feeding them in a shelter in which they had been imprisoned for their aggressive behavior.
Joahana Villafañe, 33, had to be hospitalized in a Dallas hospital for injuries that caused her two pitbulls and died soon after.
The woman had gone to the O Connor Animal Clinic to feed her pets, who had been quarantined for biting a person early last week. There, they would be tested for rabies.
Villafañe walked with the dogs into an open area after feeding them when, suddenly, they attacked him. The clinic staff saw that the girl was not coming back, so they went to pick her up. They found her lying down and badly injured while the dogs were still biting her. One of the police officers who intervened said that he had to slaughter the animals because they had not allowed them to come to the aid of the woman.
The young woman was taken to the hospital but died shortly after the serious injuries sustained.
A neighbor from Villafañe told the local press that the dogs had broken the fence of the house, after which they had attacked a person before being quarantined.
