Argentina is the sixth country in the world where inflation is the strongest

The Fund's report states that only 17 countries would record double-digit price increases and that Venezuela is in first place, victim of a process of hyperinflation. The second country is Sudan, with an annual price increase of 56% expected in 2019.

The agency also attributed the deceleration of activity in emerging markets to the financial turmoil affecting Turkey and Argentina, a developing country. "an adjustment of their economic policies necessary to reduce financial and macroeconomic imbalances".

However, the IMF expects growth in the local economy in the second half of the year "as real disposable income and agricultural production recover after last year's drought".
