Argentina progress in negotiations to acquire the Coronavac vaccine, of theaboratorio chino Sinovac, developed locally in Brazil by the Butantan Institute, the state of St.Paul, which has an efficiency of 78% among the 12,400 Brazilian volunteers.
This was confirmed today by Governor of San Pablo, Joao Doria, and the Director of the Butantan Institute, Dimas Covas, referring to the effectiveness of Coronavac on Brazilian soil and the start of the registration process before National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa).
The Butantan Institute will open a wing of its vaccine factory for its own production of CoronaVac with technology transferred from Sinovac, a Chinese private laboratory and creator of immunity.
“This negotiation with Argentina is underway, it is the most advanced of all in this process of possible exports. We are in the phase of contractual negotiations to provide the first doses,” said Covas.
Governor Doria said during Covas’ visit to Buenos Aires he spoke by phone with Argentina’s Minister of Health Gins Gonzlez Garca, in addition to speaking personally about the problem with the Felipe Sol and in São Paulo with the Argentine Ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli.
