Attack in France: at least one person died and nine wounded

Two men armed with knives they killed a young man and injured nine people more in the city of Villeurbanne, near Lyon, in the south-east of France. Three of the people affected by the attack are in serious condition.

According to preliminary information, the event would have occurred in the subway of this region. One of the attackers was arrested, as confirmed by the prefecture of this country. He is an Afghan who was asked for political asylum in this European country.

The deceased is 19 years old. The police have installed a security perimeter and more details about this are unknown. The fact has not yet been described as a terrorist attack. There are versions found on the reason of the attack.

As a result of this fierce attack, several metro stations in the city have been closed and about 50 firefighters are working in the area.

France is in "alert attack" since the terrorist attacks of the Islamic State. The anti-terrorism prosecution exercises constant control to prevent new incidents.

This region of the European country has already been attacked once this year. In May, a bunch of bombs exploded in front of a bakery downtown, making 14 minor injuries. The author, a 24-year-old radicalized Algerian, was arrested three days later. In his statement, the young man explained that he had "taken an oath of allegiance in his internal jurisdiction" to the jihadist Islamic State (IS) group.
