Australian couple claim to be Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene: they’ve formed a cult that earns half a million dollars a year

A man in Australia claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ himself and that his mate is that of Maria Magdalena, a statement which, as unlikely as it sounds, has served to create a cult that matters with more than 25,000 subscribers and a turnover of half a million dollars per year.

His name is Alan John Miller, he is 52 years old and lives in Queensland (Australia). In 2013, with Mary Luck, his 37-year-old life partner, he founded “Divine Truth,” a sect that has them both at the center, as living personifications of the Son of God and his so-called love interest.

Through “Divine Truth”, MIller gives courses and trips around the world showing how (according to him) one can have a personal relationship with God, based on the control of emotions.

Miller or AJ as he prefers to be known, was dedicated to information technology until he decided to found and lead his own religious movement near the small town of Kingaroy in the northeast of the Australia. Since then, he has cultivated dozens of faithful who have even bought land to get closer to their leader, and who gorge themselves on each of his meetings by the thousands.

The power that the cult has in Australia is so great that even the authorities are concerned.

Miller claims to remember everything that happened over 2000 years ago: “I have very clear memories of the crucifixion, but it was not as painful for me as it was for others, like Maria, who was present”he said in a report. on UK news channel Sky News.

Another of this Australian’s unusual statements is that “After his crucifixion” he met Plato, Socrates and various popes and presidents.

He also said that he remembers the miracles he performed: “I have resuscitated quite a few people, including my friend Lazaro, who is mentioned in the Bible.”

Despite his statements which may seem crazy, Alan John continues to benefit from the messages he sends to the faithful of his growing community.

One example is George Hamel, who left his company and his wife in California to be closer to Miller and his teachings. Or the case of the English neuroscientist Louise Luli Faver (39) who gave up her career to be close to him.

A sect of “zoombies”

Reverend David Millikan says he knows AJ Miller very well, whom he described as “Dangerous man” because his followers abandon their families, give up their social life, spend all their money just to follow him and “become zoombies”.
