In annual terms, production climbed 48.5% and exports soared 83.3%. In contrast, sales to dealers contracted 8% year-on-year.

In the cumulative first eight months of the year, auto terminals produced 263,877 units, which was a 97.5% jump from the same period of 2020.

Between January and August, 155,991 vehicles were exported, or 104.1% from last year, and wholesale sales increased 28.1% to 222,864 units.
