Baby found dead: stolen by a herd of monkeys | the Chronicle

8-day-old baby died after herd of monkeys allegedly stole her from her home, in the Indian city of Thanjavur, state of Tamil Nadu, and left it in a grave.

The mother of two newborn twins said the animals entered her home on Saturday, February 13, after likely removing some tiles and taking one of the girls, according to India Today.

According to his account, when he saw the primates on the roof he started screaming and after a few minutes he realized that his two daughters were missing. After bursting into tears, the neighbors came to help her and apparently saved one of the babies from the roof, but couldn’t find the other.
