Bad news in Chile due to the coronavirus pandemic

Santiago de Chile, the Chilean capital, quarantine on weekends as a preventive measure in the face of a sharp 18% increase in cases of coronavirus in the metropolitan area last week, the government announced today.

“In order to be able to quickly stop the increase in infections, it has been decided that the whole region will go into phase 2 from Thursday 10 to 5 am,” said the undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Katherine Martorell.

“As a preventative measure and in order to stop the increase in infections, the entire metropolitan area is returning to stage 2 of the transition,” added Martorell.
