Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle produce for Netflix an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book The Fifth Risk, which criticizes Donald Trump's rise to power.
Among these projects is the adaptation of Lewis's fiction bookNetflix said in a statement.
"The Fifth Risk", his latest book published last year, describes the internal mechanisms of the US government while providing a very critical image of President Trump and his team.
Present to a president who does not prepare anything before arriving at the office and who is only moderately interested in the notes, briefings and communications of officials trying to advise you.
The series "aims to represent the importance of the unrecognized work that is being done day after day by the heroes who run our government and protect our country," he added.
Many Lewis books have already been adapted to movies, such as "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine".
The production company, headed by two women (Priya Swaminathan and Tonia Davis), also produces a film about Frederick Douglbad, an African-American slave who played a key role in abolitionism.
