“Being a victim of a crime”: the fear that Alma Barragán confessed weeks before his murder

However, before the crime that occurred on Tuesday, May 25, the candidate of the Orange party had already expressed her fear of crime while pointing out against it a dirty war on the part of the government of National Action Party (PAN}, who is the administrator of the entity.

On April 1 of this year, the candidate posted a video on her social networks in which she revealed these situations and clarified the facts.

“We are doing very well, so the dirty war has already started against me ”, he began his speech,“ today I learned that I had an anonymous complaint for money laundering, which is totally false and unfounded ”, he declared .

In the clip, he said he was not afraid of this type of signaling, since they only revealed that his candidacy was on the right track and, with that in mind, he considered this type of thing they reinforce it.

On the other hand, what he admitted to being afraid is the violence that abounds in Guanajuato.

“The only fear I can feel is that of any citizen of being the victim of a crime that we are experiencing in our state and municipality”

He also pointed out that the demarcation is lost in the “old policy”, for more than 12 years of PAN, governments fear losing the power they hold in the entity and in the municipality. In this regard, it should be noted that Guanajuato It is considered the most dangerous state in Mexico, because the war between the cartels took the peace of the citizens.

In the heat of the accusations, Barragán Santiago stressed that he did not commit any crime and that the anonymous complaint lacks soundness, unless it is read in the context of the electoral situation.

“I am 60 years old and have never had a traffic violation, which makes me proud and speaks to who I am as a person”

Finally, the candidate stressed that an electoral fraud was orchestrated on the part of the municipal administration, for which the State Electoral Institute (IEE) from Guanajuato and resolve a situation that “Coincidentally” only happened to MC candidates.

“The collaboration of the Municipality of Moroleón in this dirty war is so great that it sent 17 false documents to the IEE for the registration of the residence of the councilors and myself”

The IEE intervened and warned the municipal government that if they did not make the change within 24 hours, they would be prosecuted for electoral fraud and “They were so scared they fixed it in less than 2 hours”, he assured. However, he felt that other attacks would occur against the candidates of the citizen movement.

Faced with the crime in Guanajuato, Andrés Manuel López Obrador He came out to say at the morning conference on Wednesday the 26th that citizens should participate in electoral processes and that they should not be afraid.

“We must not be afraid. We must participate and go out to vote. Many times they create these environments so that people are afraid and not participate, ”he said in the morning. In addition to that, he assured that the homicide would be investigated to bring justice to the relatives.
