Bill Gates announced his divorce from Melinda after 27 years of marriage

Bill Gates, the American tycoon and co-founder of Microsoft, announced on social media that he would end his marriage to Melinda Gates after having been 27 years together.

In the statement he uploaded to his official Twitter account, the computer genius assured that the two will continue to work together in the foundation they have; however, in a relationship, they will no longer maintain the emotional bond.

“After thinking a lot and working hard on our relationship, we made the decision to end our marriage. Over the past 27 years, we have raised three amazing children and built a foundation that works around the world. to enable everyone to lead healthy and productive lives, ”the advertisement began.

On top of that, in the note signed by both Bill and Melinda, they ask for privacy for themselves and their family as they get used to their new lifestyle.

“We continue to believe in this mission and we will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe that we can grow together as a couple. in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life, ”the statement concluded.
