Blow at drug trafficking: a group that wanted to enter Argentina with 4,000 kilograms of marijuana fell in Paraguay

Through joint work of National Anti-Drug Secretariat of Paraguay (SENAD) and the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) Argentina, a group of drug traffickers what he had in mind enter the country with 4,000 pounds of marijuana. Four men were arrested.

The large vehicle reportedly left the Maracaná area, a town near the border with Posadas (Misiones), heading for Mayor Otaño in northeastern Paraguay. From there, criminals tried to smuggle drugs into Argentina.

The joint work between AFI and SENAD stems from an agreement signed in 2017 to combat organized crime – mainly the drug traffic and the money laundering– in this region of the continent.
