Boat sinks with more than 30 Porsche off the French coast

An Italian container ship bound for Brazil carrying about 2,000 cars, including about thirty Porsches, he caught fire and sank in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of France last week.

The vessel sank on March 12 about 150 nautical miles southwest of Brest, France, at a depth of 15,000 feet below the surface of the ocean.

The German manufacturer Porsche confirmed Tuesday that the ship was carrying four models of the 911 GT2 RS.

The production of this specific model ended last February, but Porsche will manufacture even more to compensate for the lost flight, according to Carscoops.
