Boeing announced Thursday that it has finished updating its software for the 737 MAX aircraft model.involved in two accidents in the last eight months and was vetoed in almost everyone.
In a statement the company has also indicated that it has carried out the corresponding tests, with 207 flights and more than 360 hours of flight, in preparation for the devices to work again.
"Safety is our top priority, so we have done all the engineering test flights of the software update and we are getting ready for the final certification flight," said the President and Chief Executive Officer. Dennis Muilenburg.
Boeing indicated that it was providing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with additional information that it had requested on how pilots interact with aircraft orders in different situations.
Once this procedure is complete, the company is waiting to agree with the FAA of a date to perform a final flight test and complete the complete certification process.
"We are determined to provide the FAA and global regulators with all the information they need and to do it well", said Muilenburg, who badured that the company was confident that the 737 MAX with this updated software they will be "one of the safest planes that have ever flown".

Boeing also announced that it has developed new training and educational materials which are being reviewed by regulators to prepare for the resumption of operations of the 737 MAX.
On Tuesday, the FAA had already anticipated that Boeing's submission of a correction of its software and an updated training for the model was imminent.

Researchers believe that a faulty sensor activated a flight control system on both aircraft that eventually caused it to fall.
As happened in recent days, American Airlines pilots had already asked Boeing last November, shortly after the incident in Indonesia, for an urgent solution to the problems of the 737 MAX.
The crisis hit Boeing hard, whose shares in Wall Street have increased strongly this Thursday as soon as his announcement was known.
