Bolsonaro asked that his attacker be sentenced

The Brazilian president hoped that the police will find a solution in the coming days. Adélio Bispo, the author of the Minas Gerais attack, is still in detention.

Jair Bolsonaro asked Sunday that the attack he suffered last September was not "unpunished" and said he was confident that the Brazilian federal police will identify "in the coming weeks" the perpetrators intellectuals.

"I hope our beloved federal police" will have a "solution to this case in the coming weeks," said the Brazilian president in a video posted from the San Pablo hospital, where he has been hospitalized since the January 28, for the removal of a colostomy applied after the attack.

On September 6, during the election campaign for the elections he won in October, Bolsonaro was attacked with knives in the middle of a rally and was seriously injured in the abdominal area.

He was first hospitalized for nearly a month, during which he underwent two surgeries. He was readmitted two weeks ago for the removal of the colostomy, an operation he is still recovering.

The author of the attack, identified as Adélio Bispo, was arrested immediately after the attack. The authorities have not yet determined whether he had acted alone or under the command of any one or a group.

We only know that in the past, he was affiliated to the Socialist Party and Freedom (PSOL), that he had left a few years ago and occasionally held clerical or worker jobs.

Bolsonaro said in the video broadcast by his social networks that "this crime, this attempted murder, the terrorist act perpetrated by a former member of the PSOL, can not go unpunished," and said he was confident that the "beloved federal police" will indicate "with concrete data, who or who" were the intellectual writers.

The doctors were waiting for their resignation Wednesday Wednesday, but because of pneumonia, they had to be treated with antibiotics and prolong their hospitalization.

In recent days began drinking liquids, gelatin and very light creams and conquered pneumonia, but will continue to be treated with antibiotics until at least Monday, after which it should be evacuated.
