Bolsonaro will travel this month to the United States, Chile and Israel

The President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, will hold this month the first official visits of his mandate United States, Chile and Israel, in a clear signal from alliances that the president of the far right intends to reinforce, official sources reported Friday.

The former army captain, who took power on 1 January, will visit the United States from 18 to 22 March and Chile on 23 March, Foreign Minister Ernesto Araújo was quoted by the public company Agencia Brasil.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Wednesday that Bolsonaro would be in this country of March 31 to April 4.

These will be the first official visits of Bolsonaro. In January, he went to Switzerland, but to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he talked about open the country to international tradeand put special emphasis on the fight against corruption, one of his campaign promises and against what he called the "ideological prejudice".

The last Brazilian presidents booked their first trip to Argentina. This new agenda marks the political and economic options announced during the election campaign.

Bolsonaro shares with President Donald Trump the rejection of multilateralism; and the two join efforts to overthrow the Nicolás Maduro regime in Venezuela, recognizing as interim legislator the lawmaker of the opposition, Juan Guaidó.

Chile, on the other hand, is considered a model of economic success for the Brazilian Minister of the Liberal Economy, Paulo Guedes. In Santiago, Bolsonaro will participate in the launch of the Prosur forum, which aims to promote development projects in South America. "without ideologies or bureaucracy", in the words of Chilean President Sebastián Piñera.

In Israel, Bolsonaro will pay for the visit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Brazil on the occasion of the inauguration of his presidential term.

The ex-captain had promised, during the campaign, and after his accession to the presidency, to move the Brazilian embbady to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, although he then appeased those expectations before the countries Arab countries can not take commercial reprisals.

Vice President Hamilton Mourao said at the end of January that "for now," this transfer was not part of Brazil's diplomatic agenda.
